ONE YEAR UPDATE ON THE BRIDGE

I just wanted to do a quick update on the bridge as I’m sure everyone is just as curious as I was on how it’s held up over the last year.

We hadn’t set foot on our land since August 2022, thanks to our whirlwind travel schedule. But in November 2023, I planned an epic mini-vacation to Palm Springs, Vegas, Oregon, and Washington State. This adventure gave us the perfect chance to swing by our land and check if everything was still in one piece. I wrapped up building the bridge in August 2022, so this visit marks just over a year since its completion.

As we got closer, my anxiety grew, but thankfully, the beautiful scenery provided a welcome distraction.

Welp, as you can see, the bridge is still there! The grass and shrubs have just overgrown since we’ve been gone for over a year.

Aside from the crazy amount of foliage, all the components pretty much looked exactly the same as the day we built the bridge.

The pressure treated wood planks looked brand new.
Also, the vibe is immaculate. Future Japanese Garden perhaps?

That’s all I have for today. I will end this blog with some pictures I took of the scenery and surroundings near our rainy paradise.
