I can’t believe we’re already a week into this trip. Time is flying by!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early morning start here on day 7. We woke up around 7:45 am and headed to the puffin marina viewpoint<\/a> which was a quick 5-minute drive from the campsite we stayed at. It was our first time seeing puffins up close and there were quite a few of them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the saying goes… the early puffin gets the fish. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The views surrounding the marina were spectacular so we spent close to two hours just soaking it all in. Here are a few pics to prove it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Satisfied with having seen some puffins, we decided to head out, back to the city we had stopped for dinner and gas yesterday. On our way back we stopped and took pictures at the puffin wall and the top of the mountain pass from last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in Egilssta\u00f0ir<\/a>, we grabbed some brunch at the bakery section of the Krona and then decided to go do some grocery shopping at the local B\u00f3nus<\/a> in town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food for the next couple days, this was about $50.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I also decided to grab a screwdriver at the local hardware store so that I could replace the propellers on my drone because they broke, causing my drone to fall out of the sky on the second day of our trip :'(<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At $12, it was the most ridiculously expensive small screw driver I’ve ever purchased in my life, but I wanted to get my drone working again so I bit the bullet.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

With the drone working again, we drove about 45 minutes south and had plans to hike to the Litlanesfoss and Hengifoss waterfalls, but ended up just napping for a few hours in the parking lot instead. LOL. By the time we woke up, we were too hungry and just not in the mood to hike, so we decided to skip them and head further south. Now, as I’m here typing this blog, I’m regretting that decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ended up at this public hot tub\/spring called Dj\u00fapavogsk\u00f6rin<\/a>, which was literally in the middle of nowhere and along the eastern coast line of Iceland. We arrived around 9pm, made some dinner while we waiter for people to leave, and then hopped in and relaxed for a few hours. The weather wasn’t the best as it was drizzling and cold but that actually worked out great because the water in this hot tub was sooooooo hot. It was almost unbearable to get in at first. We also met a really cool Icelandic and Brazilian couple who told us stories about how back in the old days, tourists would disappear in sinking holes at the blue lagoon back when it wasn’t as developed. Good times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s it for day 7. We ended the day by driving 10 minutes to a nearby town and staying at the Framt\u00ed\u00f0 tjaldsv\u00e6\u00f0i Camping<\/a> ground. See you tomorrow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
